* Amazing that our blood types are differentiated by simple sugar molecules present on the surface of our red blood cells (RBC’s)

* All types have the H antigen represented by the brackets next to type O below
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
* The 4 sugars represented on the RBC surfaces are:
Galactose, seen on all types (5 times on AB, 3 on B, and only 2 times on A and O
Fructose, seen on all types, but seen twice on AB
Galactosamine, seen on A and AB
&
Glucosamine, seen on all but twice on AB
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Bombay Blood lacks the sugar molecule chain called “H” antigen
